Make 6 pieces of the No.1 flower for “Keep on Blooming!" – Flower blanket CAL.

You can crochet this block using any kind of yarn, but I would recommend a yarns with a hook recommendation of 3.0 - 4.5 mm.

Cut yarn and secure ends when changing yarn color.

Make a Magic Ring and crochet Rnd 1 sts into it.

Rnd 1

Brick Red

Ch 7 (counts as tr + 3ch), (tr, ch 3) 5 times. Join to the top of 4^th ch with slst, tighten the ring by pulling the starting tail of the yarn. Do not cut yarn.

[6 tr, 6 x ch3-sp]

Rnd 2

Brick Red

Slst into nextch3-sp. (ch 3, 3 dc into 1^stch of previous ch3, sc into next ch3-sp) 6 times. Last sc goes into 1^stslst, close rnd with slst into 1^stch. Cut yarn and secure ends.

Rnd 5

Mustard

SSBPsc around any 1^stdc of 6dc-group of previous rnd, BPsc around next 2 sts, ch 1, sk picot, BPsc around next 3 sts,

[3 dc through the ch1-sp (Rnd 3) and ch3-sp (Rnd 4) into the petal ch2-sp (Rnd 2), BPsc around next 3 sts, ch 1, sk picot, BPsc around next 3 sts] 5 times,

3 dc through the ch1-sp (Rnd 3) and ch3-sp (Rnd 4) into the petal ch2-sp (Rnd 2). Join to the 1^stBPsc with slst. Cut yarn and secure ends.

[(6 BPsc, 1 ch, 3dc-group) 6 times]

Rnd 7

Yellow

SSsc into any sc of previous rnd, [sk ch1-sp, (FPsc around puff, 5 sc into ch2-sp] 2 times, FPsc around puff, sk ch1-sp, sc in next st) 6 times. Omit last sc. Join to the 1^stwith slst. Do not cut yarn.

Rnd 8

Yellow

Slst into next st. Ch 3, dc in next 12 sts, [dc through picot (Rnd 4) and sc (Rnd 7), dc in next 13 sts] 5 times, dc through picot (Rnd 4) and sc (Rnd 7). Join to the 3^rdch with slst. Cut yarn and secure ends.

Rnd 11

Beige

Note: work tr in front of ch1-sp of previous rnd.

(SSsc, ch 1, sc) into any corner ch2-sp.

* (FPsc around next st, tr into next free st of Rnd 9) 8 times, FPsc around next st, tr into ch2-sp of rnd 9 before 1^stdc made into corner, FPsc around next st, (sc, ch 1, sc) into corner ch2-sp.* Repeat 6 times. Omit last (sc, ch 1, sc). Join to the 1^stsc with slst. Do not cut yarn.

[(10 FPsc, 9 tr, 2 sc, ch1-sp) 6 times]

Small Center Flower:

Rnd 1

Off White

SSFPsc around any tr of rnd 1, (ch 3, FPsc around next tr of Rnd 1) 5 times, ch 3. Join to the 1^stFPSc with slst.

Rnd 2

Off White

Slst into next ch3-sp. (Ch 2 (counts as hdc), 3 hdc into same ch3-sp, (FPsc around FPsc, 4 hdc into ch3-sp) 5 times, FPsc around FPsc. Join to the 2^ndch with slst.

[24 hdc, 6 FPsc]

Cut yarn and secure ends, block the hexagon, wet and let dry.
