ch - chain

ch-sp - chain space

sc - single crochet

FPsc - front post half double crochet

BPhdc - back post half double crochet

dc  - double crochet

puff - puff stitch**

slst - slip stitch

rnd - round

st/s - stitch / stitches

Make 6 pieces of the No 6 flower for “Keep on Blooming!" – Flower blanket CAL.

Note. If you are using the Beige - Blue yarn-kit, make 10 pieces of the No 6 flower.

You can crochet this block using almost any kind of yarn, but I recommend yarns with a hook recommendation of 3.0 - 4.5 mm. 

Use the Off White color of yarn.

Rnd 1 

Ch 3 (counts as dc), 11 dc into the ring. Join to the 3^rd ch with slst, tighten the ring by pulling the starting tail of the yarn. 

[12 dc]

Rnd 2 

Ch 5 (counts as dc + ch 2), (dc, ch 1, dc, ch 2) 5 times, dc, ch 1. Join to the 3^rd ch with slst, 

[12 dc, 6 x ch1-sp, 6 x ch2-sp]

Rnd 3

Slst into next ch2-sp. Pull the loop to the same height as a dc (does not count as st).

*(Puff, ch 2, puff) into ch2-sp, ch 1, sk dc, puff into ch1-sp, ch 1, sk dc.* 6 times. Join to the 1^st puff with slst. 

[18 puff, 6 x ch2-sp 12 x ch1-sp]

Rnd 4 

Slst into next ch2-sp. Pull the loop to the same height as a dc (does not count as st).

* (Puff, ch 2, puff) into ch2-sp, ch 1, (sk puff, 2 dc into ch1-sp) 2 times, sk puff, ch 1* 6 times. Join to the 1^st puff with slst. 

[12 puff, 6 x ch2-sp 12 x ch1-sp, 24 dc]

Rnd 5 

Slst into next ch2-sp. Pull the loop to the same height as a dc (does not count as st).

*(Puff, ch 2, puff) into ch2-sp, ch 1, sk puff, dc into next ch1-sp, dc in the next 4 sts, dc into next ch1-sp, ch 1, sk puff* 6 times. Join to the 1^st puff with slst. 

[12 puff, 6 x ch2-sp, 12 x ch1-sp, 36 dc]

Rnd 6 

Slst into next ch2-sp. Pull the loop to the same height as a dc (does not count as st).

*Puff into ch2-sp, ch 3, sk puff, dc into ch1-sp, dc into next 6 sts, dc into ch1-sp, ch 3, sk puff* 6 times. Join to the 1^st puff with slst. 

[6 puff, 12 x ch3-sp, 48 dc]

Rnd 7 

Slst into next ch3-sp. Ch 3 (counts as dc), 2 dc into same ch3-sp.

*dc into next 8 sts, 3 dc into ch3-sp, (FPdc, ch 2, FPdc) around puff, 3 dc into ch3-sp.* 5 times, dc into next 8 sts, 3 dc ch3-sp, (FPdc, ch 2, FPdc) around puff. Join to the 3^rd ch with slst. 

[84 dc, 12 FPdc, 6 x ch2-sp]

Rnd 8 

Slst into previous ch2-sp.

(Ch 5 (counts as dc + ch 2), dc) into ch2-sp.

*16 BPhdc, (dc, ch 2, dc) into corner ch2-sp.* 5 times. 16 BPhdc. Join to the 3^rd ch with slst. 

[96 BPhdc, 12 dc, 6 x ch2-sp]

Rnd 9 

Slst into corner ch2-sp. Ch 5 (counts as dc + ch 2), dc into same ch2-sp.

*(Ch 1, sk st, dc) 9 times, ch 1. (dc, ch2, dc) into corner ch2-sp.* 5 times. Ch 1, sk st, (dc, ch 1, sk st) 9 times. Join to the 3^rd ch with slst. Cut yarn and secure ends. 

[(11 dc, 10 x ch1-sp, ch2-sp) 6 times]
