SPECIAL STITCHES

beginning PC (beg pc):

Ch 3 (counts as 1^st dc of the pc), 4 dc in the same FPsc, take the hook out of the loop of the last dc, insert the hook in the top loops of the first dc and pick up the dropped loop again, pull through the stitch, ch1 to close (not counted as ch) (= 1^st pc).

puff stitch (puff)

Yarn over, insert the hook into the indicated stitch, yarn over and pull through the stitch (3 loops on the hook) *yarn over, insert the hook into the same stitch, yarn over and pull through, * repeat ** 3 times in total. The yarn over will be pulled through the same stitch 4 times in total for one puff stitch. There are 9 loops on the hook now. Yarn over and pull through 8 loops, yarnover and pull through the remaining 2 loops.

puff-mini stitch (puff-mini)

Take one yarn over on the hook, put the hook in the indicated stitch on previous round,

yarn over and pull through the stitch (3 loops on the hook) *yarn over, insert the hook into the same stitch, yarn over and pull it through* repeat ** 2 times in total. The yarn will be pulled through the same

stitch 3 times in total for one puff-mini stitch. There are 7 loops on the hook now. Yarn over and pull it through 6 loops, yarn over and pull it through the remaining 2 loops.

The pattern is written by using either one or six different colors of yarn.

If you are making the square in multicolor, please follow the instructions and notes that are written in red at the end of each rnd. You will see the yarn used in each rnd by following the color in next to the rnd count.

When starting the rnd with new color, use standing stitch method. Cut yarn and secure end when changing the color.

[dark blue] Ch 5. Join to the 1^st ch with sl st. Crochet the Rnd 1 stitches into the ring.

Rnd 1** [dark blue]

Ch 2 (counts as hdc), 15 hdc. Join to the 2^nd ch with slst.

Ch 1 (counts as sc),

FPslst around the 1^st pc of previous rnd. Ch 1 (counts as FPsc),

Start with SSFPsc around any pc of previous rnd. Follow the instructions. Join to the 1^st pc with slst. Cut yarn and secure ends.

* ch 2, (2 sc into the next ch1-sp, sk puff-mini) 5 times, 2 sc into the next ch1-sp, ch 2, FPdc2tog around the next FPdcs and sk sc* 8 times. Omit last FPdc2tog. Join to the top of the 1st FPdc2tog with slst.

Start with SSFPdc around FPdc just before the last dc of the last rnd omitting the last pull through (count as 1st FPdc of FPdc2tog), around the 1st FPdc of previous rnd. Follow the instructions. Cut yarn and secure ends.

Aloitus pc:

3 kjs (lasketaan 1. p:ksi), 4 p samaan silmukkaan, ota koukku silmukasta ja vie koukku ensimmäiseen pylvääseen ja nosta pujotettu lenkki koukulle, vedä lenkki pylvään läpi, sulje pc kjs:lla (ei lasketa silmukaksi) (= 1. pc)

puff silmukka (puff)

Ota langankierto koukulle, koukku edellisen kierroksen silmukan läpi, ota lanka koukulle ja vedä lanka silmukan läpi, jolloin koukulla on kolme lankaa.

* Tee langankierto, vie koukku samaan silmukkaan, ota lanka ja vedä lanka silmukan läpi * toista ** 3 kertaa. Lanka vedetään samasta silmukasta yhteensä 4 kertaa yhtä puff-silmukkaa varten. Nyt koukulla on 9 silmukkaa. Ota lanka koukulle ja vedä se 8 silmukan läpi. Ota lanka koukulle ja vedä se 2:n jäljellä olevan silmukan läpi.

puff-mini silmukka (puff-mini)

Ota langankierto koukulle, vie koukku edellisen kerroksen silmukan läpi, ota lanka koukulle ja vedä lanka silmukan läpi, jolloin koukulla on kolme lankaa.
